Oh… Calvin and Hobbes.Ī favorite of a special friend of mine and former co-worker. Thankfully I wrote this a couple of days ago, as I have a toothache that kept me up all night.

Displaying computer to multiple screens Hardware. You might want to call them and ask if it is possible. It requires a hefty 4GB+ device (e.g.-USB thumb drive) to save the files to but it does allow customization of the tools. It doesn't appear to be available yet but looks like a possibility. The closest I have been able to find would be Micromat's TechTool ProToGo. There is also a customizer program if you need to add other software you need to the distribution. You would still have lots of diagnostic tools available if the machine could be booted from their OS. TeamViewer 7 would run from their Windows install. Only TeamViewer 6 works with the mini XP mode. The latest version of HBCD, 15.2, has both TeamViewer 6 and Teamviewer 7.

If there are unusual disk or network drivers needed, it would be way too complicated for most users unless you have a standard driver's disk that you could include. Not a show-stopper, but not totally automated. It does require the additional step by the end user if you need to boot from it: 1) boot and select start the "mini XP" 2) run the network or wireless setup command 3)run the HBCD menu 4) Choose Teamviewer 6 (mini xp) from the programs->Remote control menu.

Typically have used ARD for LAN computers. On the Apple side, optical disks have faded, hence booting from optical disk is less an option. To do what is sought, would craft a bootable. If the device is Mac and Windows, it implies Mac hardware. On the Apple side, ARD (Apple Remote Desktop, $80) is the option of choice.
